Today we’re looking at part of what Dallin Oaks said at the April 2024 General Conference. This GC was about being temple worthy and it seems obvious that it has to do with all the temples they keep announcing.
Church News, ‘Covenants and Responsibilities’, April 2024 “…Covenants are inherent in each of the ordinances of salvation and exaltation this restored church administers…
Persons who have been endowed in a holy temple are responsible to wear a temple garment…It reminds endowed members of the sacred covenants they have made and the blessings they have been promised in the holy temple…
Because covenants do not take a day off, to remove one’s garments can be understood as a disclaimer of the responsibilities and blessings to which they relate. In contrast, persons who wear their garments faithfully and keep their temple covenants affirm their role as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.” — Dallin Oaks
Matthew 6:28 “And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin”.
Mr. Oaks ignored what the Lord said which made his comment a lie to steer people away from Jesus, not to Him.
No building or piece of clothing will cut you off from God! What about all the changes they’ve made to the clothing requirement? Will those who lived before today’s new requirements be saved?
Pray for Mormons to question the teachings of their leaders!
With Love in Christ —
