‘No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.’ Matthew 6:24
Church News, ‘First Presidency Letter’, April 14, 2024 “Because covenants do not take a day off, to remove one’s garments can be understood as a disclaimer of the responsibilities and blessings to which they relate…In contrast, persons who wear their garments faithfully and keep their temple covenants continually affirm their role as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.” — Dallin Oaks
Matthew 6:25-26 “…Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”
LDS temple garments are much like the relics used by Catholics. They hold members hostage to the edicts of men instead of leading them to the Lord.
Ironically, you can read Joe Smith’s contempt for Catholics and anyone else not following him in his BoM.
1 Nephi 14:10 “And he said unto me: Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth.”
It’s obvious the Church’s tactics are a ruse to confuse.
Another quote by Henry Eyring was just as bad when he added to the infamous letter by stating the following –
“When you keep your temple covenants and remember them, you invite the companionship of the Holy Ghost to both strengthen and purify you.”
God’s Holy Spirit doesn’t reside inside pagan temples rather He lives inside each believer when they accept Jesus as their Savior and God. 1 Corinthians 3:16 –
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
Unfortunately, many Mormons will believe the lies they’re fed but remember that Paul also said this isn’t about flesh and blood but the principalities of the air – Ephesians 6:11-12. When you share this info with your Mormon loved ones keep that in mind!
Temples aren’t used to feed the hungry nor house orphans. The only purpose of LDS temples is taking oaths in hopes of becoming gods.
We’ll be looking at the updated temple recommend questions in the next day or two so be sure to check out what they’ve done. Meanwhile, don’t forget to pray!
With Love in Christ —
