Consciously or unconsciously they have absorbed and utilized it. This is especially manifest in the growth of liberal ideas among the Protestant churches within the last half century. (2 January 1902, MS, 64:22.)”

Jude 1:4 “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Oh, if there’s no other red flag or alarm that goes off in the head of a Mormon this one should be it.
Leaven is a sign of sin. I just don’t know how else God could explain or show them that even their prophets know they’re wrong!
1 Cor. 5:8 “Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
Holman Bible Dictionary describes leaven this way —
“A small portion of fermented dough used to ferment other dough and often symbolizing a corruptive influence…In the New Testament, leaven is a symbol of any evil influence which, if allowed to remain, can corrupt the body of believers.”
There was only one time when Jesus used leaven in a good sense and it was used to describe the growth of the kingdom of God in Matt. 13:33.
“Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.”
Please pray for the Mormon you know and explain how Mr. Snow’s analogy was far from truth!
