In other words, don’t allow your common sense to kick in when thinking about all the contradictions, threats and outrageous behavioral problems of some of the leaders. If you leave you’ve betrayed the brethren as well as God and you might lose that all important Mormon testimony.
The problem with this scenario is what Dr. Luke tells us in the book of Acts. The Bereans were a noble-minded people who studied the word of God each and every day to see if Paul’s claims were true. They wouldn’t rest until they knew what God had said about any given situation.
Their story is quite remarkable! They stand as a great example for us today on how we’re to look to the word of God for direction, so we stay close to Him.
Also read 2 Timothy 2:15 (study to show yourself approved) and 1 Peter 3:15 (always be ready with a defense of your faith).

We pray all Mormons will read God’s word and question the Church not the Lord! There are countless times in the Bible where the Lord tells us to check things out. If the Lord says to do this it’d be better to follow His directives rather than man!
