December 10 — There’s ‘No Book Good Enough’ for LDS Church. Zechariah 11:8a “Three shepherds also I cut off in one month…”
Matthew 23:33 “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?”

Unbelief forces Messiah to reject them … When Jesus was visiting the temple on Tuesday of Holy Week, the Pharisees and Sadducees continued their barrage of questions trying to trick Him into blaspheming God, but He’d have nothing of it. His attention and motives were firmly rooted in what His Father would have Him do and no external influence could deter His mission.
Sadly, in Mormonism, this isn’t and has never been the case. The Church takes pride in its ever-evolving dogma and has no problem with incorporating other religious ideologies into their belief system.
FYI: The Hasmonean Staircase leading up to Caiaphas’ palace provides a visual to see the path Jesus had to walk on the way to being tried.

Follow the Living Prophets, pp. 112-113 “Relying only upon canonized scriptures, observed President Wilford Woodruff, “would scarcely be sufficient to guide us twenty-four hours” (in Journal of Discourses 9:324)…Elder Orson F. Whitney said: The Latter-day Saints do not do things because they happen to be printed in a book.
They do not do things because God told the Jews to do them; nor do they do or leave undone anything because of the instructions that Christ gave to the Nephites.
Whatever is done by this Church is because God, speaking from heaven in our day, has commanded this Church to do it. No book presides over this Church, and no book lies at its foundation. You cannot pile up books enough to take the place of God’s priesthood… That is the constitution of the Church of Christ. … Divine revelation adapts itself to the circumstances and conditions of men, and change upon change ensues as God’s progressive work goes on to its destiny. There is no book big enough or good enough to preside over this Church. (In Conference Report, October 1916, p. 55.)” [emp. added]

The LDS reference today is one of the top ten worst things we’ve seen from the Church. To state they don’t need God’s word is tantamount to not needing God Himself.
May He have mercy on them. The longer I’m out of the Church the more grateful I am!
Ask a Mormon if they think the changing doctrines of their church is better than the Bible. Be sure you let them know you’re asking out of concern and not from animosity.
With Love in Christ —
