February 25 — Sins Forgiven by Attending Sacrament Meetings. General Conference, ‘That We May Always Have His Spirit to Be with Us’, April 2006 “Through the ordinance of the sacrament we renew our baptismal covenant and can receive and retain a remission of our sins (see Mosiah 4:12, 26). In addition, we are reminded on a weekly basis of the promise that we may always have His Spirit to be with us. As we then strive to keep ourselves clean and unspotted from the world, we become worthy vessels in whom the Spirit of the Lord can always dwell.” — David Bednar

In the 29+ years of being a Mormon I can recall one time that I felt like God kind of liked me. I remember being told on many occasions that if I sinned the Holy Ghost would up and leave.
I was never taught His HS resided inside of me and didn’t know how all that worked until the day I got saved. On that day I immediately knew He was inside of me and there was no turning back! Thank You Jesus!
The Church has lied to its members about the Lord’s Holy Spirit beginning with Joe Smith. The more stories they tell the more confused these dear people become.
Please share with the Mormon you know how having the Lord’s Spirit works! Along with your own experience you can read a great article on this at GotQuestions.org. Here in part is what it says —
“Beginning on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit began permanently indwelling believers (Acts 2). The permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of God’s promise to always be with us and never forsake us.”
As it says in the refence above, the Lord would never desert a true believer!

Like I told Melissa earlier today,,, It’s shocking to me they think the words they use are acceptable.
