March 16 — Alma Plagiarized Jesus, Peter and John in 73 BC. Alma 38:8-9 “And it came to pass that I was three days and three nights in the most bitter pain and anguish of soul; and never, until I did cry out unto the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy, did I receive a remission of my sins. But behold, I did cry unto him and I did find peace to my soul. 9 And now, my son, I have told you this that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn of me that there is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Christ. Behold, he is the life and the light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness.” — c. bc 73

John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
1 John 1:5 “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

As I’m sure the reader noticed Alma plagiarized Jesus from John’s gospel and then Peter and John from the book of Acts. It’s quite interesting that he used the same vocabulary roughly 100 years before Jesus, John or Peter said these things.
Now if that wasn’t bad enough, he also had to talk about the grief he was in for three days and nights.
In vs. 6 it says God’s spirit that supposedly resided inside of him had to remind Alma that he was born of God.
Alma 38:6 “Now, my son, I would not that ye should think that I know these things of myself, but it is the Spirit of God which is in me which maketh these things known unto me; for if I had not been born of God I should not have known these things.”
Alma seems to be the only person on the face of the earth that had the spirit of God residing inside of him. While there were people in the OT era that experienced God’s presence His Spirit never resided inside the heart of man until Acts chapter two.
This serves as another example of why Joseph Smith was a fraud. His made-up stories in the BoM will always be proof. The last problem in Alama 38:8-9 is when he stated he received forgiveness by repenting. There’s no mention of a sacrifice for sins. Oh, the list just never ends. Ugh.
When you have the opportunity, please, share this info with a Mormon using demonstrative evidence from God’s word and the sequence of events during that time.
