September 16 — New Era, Dec. 2009, 2 “What does it mean to be a Saint? In the Lord’s Church, the members are Latter-day Saints, and they attempt to emulate the Savior, follow His teachings, and receive saving ordinances in order to live in the celestial kingdom with God the Father and our Savior Jesus Christ (see 2 Nephi 9:18).” – Quentin L. Cook, “Are You a Latter-day Saint?”

Ephesians 5:1-3 “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.”

A saint is someone who makes Jesus their Lord. In the Greek this word is hagios meaning sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): holy.
While part of their definition is correct (following the teachings of Jesus) no other part of the description is right. They don’t follow the true teachings of Jesus found in the Bible.
Furthermore, Mormons are not part of the body of Christ because they haven’t made Jesus their God. Lastly, they believe they have to work for their salvation.
In Christianity the only saving ordinance is to confess Jesus is God and that He alone saves us.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Please share with a Mormon what it means to be a true saint!

[…] What is a Saint? – – Quentin L. Cook […]
A saint isn’t someone that follows a church with Jesus or saint in its name. Prayers for all Mormons.
Yes, a Saint follows Jesus of the bible, not a religion or person.
