As a reminder, the quote above came from the official website of the LDS Church, and the problem with it is clearly seen in the preface of each volume for the JoD (Journal of Discourses). While each volume has a unique intro, we believe volume two contains one of the most horrifying statements we’ve read in all of Mormondom.
The purpose in gathering all the Church’s endorsements for the JoD isn’t to sensationalize, rather, it’s to inform. We pray the Christian will be able to utilize the info to aid while witnessing, and members of the Church will see the contradictions in the Church’s statements.
