Baptismal fontThe voluminous amount of posthumous baptisms Wilford Woodruff took part in while visiting the St. George temple, is an eye-raiser. Not only were the numbers noteworthy, but the recipients were as well. Woodruff’s list reads like a who’s who in world history.

According to Mr. Woodruff, this large group of people included a handful of America’s founding fathers who appeared to him while he was in the St. George temple. These spirits, he said, approached him and began asking why the Church hadn’t performed proxy baptisms on their behalf.

Coincidences in Mormonism 2017While the Mormon Church likes to yammer on how Smith was just an uneducated teenage farm boy from upstate New York, there’s a lot to be said about his wild imagination, and his seemingly insatiable appetite for books.

Over the years I’ve looked at more than a handful of “coincidences” from the Book of Mormon, and thought it’d be helpful to put them in one place for easy reference. So here’s a few of them to start us off, and as time permits I’ll be adding to the list, so check back often. The questions I have are most likely the same as yours!

George Washington's QuestionYou probably saw this title and thought “Wait a minute – what?!?”

That’s what I thought as I was reading some letters of George Washington written during the time he led this country to its independence.

I confess, I’m obsessed with the history of wars.  My true love of war history is my obsession with all things that have to do with WW2 and Hitler, but the Civil and Revolutionary Wars hold a close second.
