Earth Fell into the Universe when Adam Fell
Ensign, March 1997; “According to President Brigham Young, Abraham 5:13 [Abr. 5:13] also means that before the Fall of Adam, the earth was near the very throne of God. But when the Fall occurred, the earth literally fell or moved from the physical presence of God to its present position in our solar system. When all the effects of the Fall of Adam are finally overcome, the earth will literally move back into the presence of God.” – Andrew Skinner
Nehemiah 9:6; “Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.”
We have dozens upon dozens of scriptures we can use to show this Mormon prophecy is from the devil. The point is that nowhere in the Bible does it allude to the fact that the earth was hurled from its axis and fell into the universe.
This is a prime example of the fallacies of the LDS. Smith and Young reasoned things out by themselves APART form the Word of God. Much trouble comes from that alone. It is the origin of all their fallacies.
In the creation, for example, one can read the account and think that the earth is millions of years old or try to estimate its age based on the history form the Bible. The Bible never tells us this. We can also think that the 6 days that the world was created was longer or some other time span other than 24 hours-days as we know them. These are THINKING and REASONING beyond the scope of the Bible.
Smith and Young did this. Young wrote that it was many years since he even read the Bible (in another post on LifeAfter website here) so his thoughts were moving and expounding and making things up as he went along. Yes, nowhere in the Bible does God tell us “…that the earth was hurled from its axis and fell to the universe.”
From a Pastor on this subject:
“…That is the danger that confronts us. Although we believe that Scripture has authority as God’s Word, we sometimes use our experience and common sense to judge spiritual matters. But if we do, we darken God’s counsels. Our common sense will mislead us, because God works in mysterious ways, beyond our common sense.
“One example is the Creation of the world. According to Holy Scripture, the Lord created the entire universe in six days. By speaking the Word, God made all things out of nothing.
“However, human reason and science have decided that the world gradually developed over billions of years. Human beings are supposed to have evolved from lower organisms… ”

Here’s more on using your own reasoning from another pastor:
Martin Luther said, on the Word of God…
‘ “This is a key element especially to the devil, as he seeks ways to tear us away from the Word, and then apart from the Word, leads us to think our own thoughts. For then he knows he has won and we have lost.” ‘

It is very important to STICK WITH THE WORD OF GOD!
When you read the Bible, let it interpert itself from other passages using a study Bible. Some things like the creation discussed above and Young’s statements, are NOT in the Bible. If a person like Smith or Young or even Glen Beck of 2012, make a statement, check the Bible and find the truth there as
a they twist the Word to their liking, expound on it, and add other false stuff to it.
When Martin Luther explained the Bible in his many writings, he said that the Scripture is Alone the Word to be followed; He was taking the Bible statements and making it clearer. When we compare what he explains to us, it is in line with the Word. Not so with Smith, Young, the LDS Prophets of today, etc. Comparing what they say to the Word gives us contradictory results.
And from LifeAfter on the post Tip of the Day, October 10 – John 14:26;
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

This means that we are not a part of this teaching to us; it is the sole work of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. We are not reasoning; we are learning from the Holy Spirit.
Finally, Martin Luther, in his explanation of the Apostles Creed (Statement of Faith), shows this teaching to us from John 14:26-
Here’s an excerpt:
“The Third Article. …
I believe in the Holy Ghost; …
What does this mean?–Answer.
“I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Ghost has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith; …”
Mormon reasoning or God’s teaching from the Word? You choose.
Reblogged this on Compendium of Christian Blogs.
This is cool that you re-blogged the article! I hope you re-blogged your comments as well!
Well said!
I should have also included the verses where God said that He set the earth & it’s immovable.
Here’s a few examples –
1 Chronicles 16:30: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable.”
Psalm 93:1: “Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm …”
Psalm 96:10: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable …”
Psalm 104:5: “Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken.”
Isaiah 45:18: “…who made the earth and fashioned it, and himself fixed it fast…”
When ever I read any reference to FALLEN with regards to anything LDS. I always think of the inverted elongated stars across from the statue of Christ in the rotunda. The meaning of which is quite sinister. More here:
http://vigilantcitizen.com/sinistersites/sinister-sites-temple-square-utah/
And the way they depict Christ with arms down, towards these fallen stars is quite disturbing. I.M.O. Besides the whole masonic cult they have going. Which at the higher degrees reveals, indeed, it IS all about worship of lucifer. Beware wolves in sheeps wool!
The LDS need to quit trying to shove their cult down the throats of others. I am beyond weary of them! They are like stalkers! And very aggressive. Like rapists, they do not comprehend the word NO!
And OMG, that quote by Mark Twain is priceless! Thanks for that! 🙂
Thank you for everything you have compiled on these topics! I appreciate all of your hard work.
God Bless you,
