Journal of Discourses 8:211-212; “In relation to the way in which I look upon the works of God and his creatures, I will say that I was naturally begotten; so was my father, and also my Saviour Jesus Christ. According to the Scriptures, he is the first begotten of his father in the flesh, and there was nothing unnatural about it.” – Heber C. Kimball, Salt Lake City, September 2, 1860
Colossians 1:15; “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.”
The transliteration for firstborn is prōtotokos. In Colossians 1:15 this word is an adjective, not a noun. It doesn’t mean Jesus was created, rather it means He was the creator of all things. In Jewish law the firstborn inherited the majority of the father’s wealth and in this verse firstborn is referring to that estate. He will inherit His father’s creation.
Another verse that refutes Jesus was created is found in John 1:3.
“All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”
If Jesus was created how could He be the creator? Also see John 1:1; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The created Jesus of Mormonism is not the Jesus that Christians worship at all.
