Alma 11:28-29; “Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God? 29 And he answered, No.”
Moses 3:2; “And on the seventh day I, God, ended my work, and all things which I had made; and I rested on the seventh day from all my work, and all things which I had made were finished, and I, God, saw that they were good.”
Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg 345-346; “We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see… Here, then, is eternal life—to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you.”
D&C 121:32; “According to that which was ordained in the midst of the Council of the Eternal God of all other gods before this world was, that should be reserved unto the finishing and the end thereof, when every man shall enter into his eternal presence and into his immortal rest.”
Abraham 4:1; “And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 2:2; “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”
Isaiah 44:8, 24; “Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. 24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.”
So which of Joseph Smith’s stories is the truth?
Did he tell the truth in the Book of Mormon and the Book of Moses?
What about his sermon known as the King Follett Discourse from Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith?
What about his prophecy in Doctrine and Covenants or the translation of the Egyptian papyri in the Book of Abraham?
Once again the only sure thing we should put our trust in is the Bible! When has the Lord ever steered us wrong? Never!
Yes, He and His Word and more than enough. Praise Him!
Isn’t it though?
