The Seer, pp 134-135; “Each succeeding generation of Gods follow the example of the preceding ones: each generation have their wives, who raise up from the fruit of their loins immortal spirits: when their families become numerous, they organize new worlds for them…. [T]hey place their families upon the same….” – Orson Pratt, 1853
Galatians 5:19-21; “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Strange title for the day wouldn’t you say? For such blasphemies as depicted in our LDS example here we need to pull out the ‘big guns’ with a strong warning from Paul!
In all seriousness, take a good look at Paul’s warning with each item he listed and you’ll find that every single one of them are in this one LDS teaching. It’s not often we see such a display of utter lawlessness on the part of man to the extent we do here. Surely they were a living example of the 21st century.
Look at the number of people living together outside of marriage and having kids today. Then there’s the absolute explosion of crime in murders, robbery, rape, assault, road rage, porn, denying God, witchcraft and other heretical ne’er-do-well groups. Then we also see the ‘you have to be better than the Jones’ next door’, drug and alcohol abuse…I could go on and on…
Orson Pratt had to be one of the most prolific anti-Christs of his time. The amount of filthy false teachings that dripped from this man’s pen is nothing short of shocking and should hurt the heart of every Mormon who reads his montage of blasphemy.
While the Church will tell you they don’t support the writings from this particular book, they have no qualms about quoting Pratt when it’s convenient for them to do so and they still won’t denounce polytheism or forever families; therein lies their shame.
