January 11 – Alpha. This is the first letter of the Greek alphabet which originates from the Hebrew. There’s no contraction of this because it’s simply a letter, and neither are there any derivatives. The same can be said for the last letter of the Greek alphabet, ‘Omega’. Revelation 1:8; “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

The meaning of Alpha, quite simply, means beginning, just as Omega, the last letter of the Greek alphabet means end. Jesus’ title is applied to both the Father and the Son (Rev. 21:6, Rev. 22:13) which is a clear indication of Jesus’ deity. Jesus used these letters to show that God existed before all time, and will continue to exist afterwards, thus, it leaves no room for any other god in between. Is. 43:10 It also tells us Jesus was with the Father in the pre-existence before mankind. John 1:1-3; John 8:54; Col. 1:17
Sadly, Mormons have believed the lies of Joseph Smith, and rejected what our dear sweet Jesus has so plainly explained to us.

Mormon Doctrine, p. 31; “ALPHUS…See ALPHA AND OMEGA, CHRIST, OMEGUS. One of the name-titles of Christ is Alphus (D. & C. 95:17), a derivative of the Greek Alpha. Use of this title emphasizes our Lord’s high status of godhood in pre-existence; he was God from eternity; by diligence and obedience, while yet a Spirit Being, he became “like unto God” the Father. (Abra. 3:22-24.)”
