Have you been born again? Joel 2:28-32; “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”
Acts 2:17-21; “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13; “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Promise of the Spirit… On Palm Sunday ’93 I dropped to my knees and called upon the name of the Lord. I immediately knew I was saved. It was the goose-bump moment you read about that radically changed my life forever. While it was a marked event for me personally, it wasn’t the first, and it most certainly wouldn’t be the last time God’s word was fulfilled. I, like countless others worldwide, repeat the same scenario every single day.
God poured out His Spirit…
My heart grieves each time I think of my salvation in the context of what Mormons believe and a sense of panic strikes my inner being. You see, my mother has no idea of what happened to me that day even though I’ve shared it countless times.
She’s your typical Mormon.
She lives day in and day out in frustration.
She’ll only believe what Joseph said, and discounts Jesus’ promise.
And with that being said, she tells me all the time that she loves Jesus too. I believe her because I used to think the same thing…until 1993.

LDS Gospel Topics; “Conversion includes a change in behavior, but it goes beyond behavior; it is a change in our very nature. It is such a significant change that the Lord and His prophets refer to it as a rebirth, a change of heart, and a baptism of fire.
Conversion is a process, not an event. Conversion comes as a result of righteous efforts to follow the Savior. These efforts include exercising faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of sin, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end in faith.”
