2 Corinthians 11:13-14 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
General Conference, ‘Behold the Lamb of God’, April 2019 “After expulsion from the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve faced a devastating future. Having opened the door to mortality and temporal life for us, they had closed the door to immortality and eternal life for themselves. Due to a transgression they had consciously chosen to make in our behalf, they now faced physical death and spiritual banishment, separation from the presence of God forever. …
1.Why would it be devastating? According to Mormon canon, Adam and Eve praised God for their sin. Moses 5:11
2.They didn’t sin on our behalf. This is a huge lie! The Bible never says God commanded Adam and Eve to sin.
We are not certain just how much these two were allowed to remember of the instruction they received while still in the garden, but they did remember they were to regularly offer for a sacrifice unto God a pure, unblemished lamb, the first male born of their flock.
Adam and Eve wouldn’t have received instructions on how to sacrifice animals before they were kicked out of Eden Mr. Holland. Why would they need to sacrifice animals before they sinned?
Later an angel came to explain that this sacrifice was a type, a prefiguration of the offering that would be made in their behalf by the Savior of the world who was to come. …
Where is that in the Bible? This is purely speculative, and based on private interpretation.
While sacrifices were obviously being made after Adam and Eve left Eden, we have no idea how they knew to do this because the Bible doesn’t say. The passage in Joe Smith’s work of Moses 5:7-8 isn’t biblical, and therefore, shouldn’t be trusted.
What we do know is 1,000 years passed before the Bible tells us God gave specific instructions to Noah on how to sacrifice in Genesis 8:20.
By offering their own little symbolic lambs in mortality, Adam and his posterity were expressing their understanding of and their dependence upon the atoning sacrifice of Jesus the Anointed One.
… Unfortunately, as a symbol of genuine repentance and faithful living, this ritualistic offering of unblemished little lambs didn’t work very well …
This man’s words are patronizing.
Following His brief mortal ministry, this purest of all Passover sheep prepared His disciples for His death by introducing the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, a more personal form of the ordinance that had been introduced just outside of Eden. There would still be an offering, it would still involve a sacrifice, but it would be with symbolism much deeper, much more introspective and personal than the bloodletting of a firstborn lamb… …
Where is the mention of the CROSS, Mr. Holland???
Oh why can’t this man tell these dear people the truth? He has a worldwide platform! Why is he using terms like ‘bloodletting’??? Come now.
He seems far removed from what happened to our Lord, and keeping the truth at arm’s length. However, this is how they trick people. What he says next is telling indeed…
“Ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood. …
“… Ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit.
“… Therefore repent, … and be saved.” …
Don’t believe it for a minute beloved, and here’s why…
…In that same spirit, we make an apostolic plea for the reduction of clamor in the sanctuary of our buildings. … It will add to the spirit of our sacrament meetings if the presiding officers are on the stand well before the meeting is to begin, listening to the prelude music and reverently setting the example… …It is in memory of Him who asked if the cup He was about to drink could pass, only to press on because He knew that for our sake it could not pass. It will help us if we remember that a symbol of that cup is slowly making its way down the row toward us at the hand of an 11- or 12-year-old deacon….” — Jeffrey R. Holland
This guy sounds so detached, and even more so than normally…
How scary is it that communion is being served by an 11-12 year old boy who’s not been taught the truth? The whole scenario of bread and water, toddlers partaking of the elements, and now with pre-teens doing this derives from wholesale blasphemy.
Why is shutting your mouth in a building being tied to preaching Christ Jesus and Him crucified?
Make no mistake friends, this man’s words are lies from hell. I can’t describe my heartbreak over this guy’s speech. I know all their doctrines and talks are ungodly, but this one ranks up there this time.
Can you imagine Peter, James, or even Paul, giving an ‘apostolic plea’ to not visit with friends at church?
This is more reminiscent of a circus atmosphere than anything to do with a perfectly holy, righteous God.
Please, please pray for these dear people!!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
If the God’s Holy Spirit was in those Stake Centers, there wouldn’t be all the noise and clamoring about. I can honestly say that I have never truly felt the spirit of God in a sacrament meeting. How spiritually edifying is it to listen to some twelve year old kid, give a talk by reading word for word off pages of notes, that his mom and dad likely wrote for him and then two minutes later conclude his talk with the usual: “I know this church is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, I know the Book of Mormon is true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ…Amen.” Nothing spiritual about listening to sacrament meeting talks or even GC talks. Most church talks are a bunch of repetitious nonsense that is being regurgitated over and over again.
I love this ministry!!! I can’t tell you how much it has helped me in my recovery from Mormonism. It also helps me keep up with all the crazy as my son is still entangled with this cult.
On a different note … I get LDS Daily. I only quoted scripture to whatever they are talking about, like how they go on and on about all the temples that are being opened …. blah, blah, blah … they have now blocked me again AND I’M ONLY QUOTING SCRIPTURE!! I think it was two Christmases ago that they told the story of how Christ was on the cross and all his disciples were watching and crying or something like that. The whole story was wrong! I made corrections with the addresses and I could hardly believe that she corrected her fabricated story of that day …. and then I got blocked (the first time).
Hi there BirminghamBetsy!
Just wanted to let you know we’re praying for you, and most definitely your son as well. I know all too well how heartbreaking it is to see loved ones who won’t break free of the nightmare. 🙁
Your kind words are a special gift, so thanks for writing in and letting us know that you’ve been able to glean info and learn from it!
I admire your spunk in writing to them – and not surprised at all they’d block you. I’m even less surprised they’d change their article after your heads up to them. You can see how much they appreciated your insight eh? We’re praying they actually take it to heart in their private times. It’s amazing what our Lord will do!
Please, keep us up to do date from your end and let us know how we can pray!
In Him,
Michelle

Hi Sunshine..You mentioned that “LDS Daily” censors the quoting of scriptures that you send to them. Just remember Isaiah 55:11: “So shall my word be that goeth forth from my mouth, it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please.” REMEMBER; Censoring the Word of God likely had an impact on somebody that had to do the censoring. Who knows, that order to censor may have brought that journalist around to Christ
