General Conference, ‘Abound with Blessings’, April 2019 “…when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated. … That being said, you do not earn a blessing—that notion is false—but you do have to qualify for it. Our salvation comes only through the merits and grace of Jesus Christ.” — Dale G. Renlund (more…)

Numerous Contradictions Hide Stagnation of LDS Growth
Posted in General Conference April 2019, tagged false apostle, Jeffrey Holland, LDS Missionaries, missionaries to reach 100 thousand by 2019 on 06/11/2019| Leave a Comment »
Trying to nail down the true numbers of how many missionaries the Church has is like the old saying of trying to nail Jell-O to a wall. Their numbers change with the wind, making it impossible to take anything they say seriously.
In January 2015, the LDS Church claimed they had approximately 85,000 missionaries on their rosters. Two months later (March), LDS apostle Jeffrey R. Holland predicted the Church would have a ‘baseline’ of 100,000 Mormon missionaries by 2019 – see Salt Lake Tribune for more info. (more…)
EYRING’S THREAT TO CONTROL DWINDLING MEMBERS

General Conference, ‘The Power of Sustaining Faith’, April 2019 “…By raising your hand to sustain, you make a promise. You make a promise with God, whose servants these are, that you will sustain them. …These are imperfect human beings, as are you. Keeping your promises will take unshakable faith that the Lord called them. … President George Q. Cannon gave a warning that I pass on to you as my own. I believe he spoke the truth: “God has chosen His servants. He claims it as His prerogative to condemn them, if they need condemnation. He has not given it to us individually to censure and condemn them. No man, however strong he may be in the faith, however high in the Priesthood, can speak evil of the Lord’s anointed and find fault with God’s authority on the earth without incurring His displeasure. The Holy Spirit will withdraw himself from such a man, and he will go into darkness. This being the case, do you not see how important it is that we should be careful?”” — Henry Eyring (more…)
Testimonies are Spiritual Protection

Psalm 32:7 “Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.”
General Conference, ‘Build a Fortress of Spirituality and Protection,’ April 2019 “We make and renew our covenants by partaking of the sacrament and by worshipping in the temple. …
In the temple we can “lay aside the things of this world” and feel the Lord’s presence…We can focus on our ancestors, our families, and eternal life in the presence of the Father. …
As we diligently strengthen our fortifications, we become like Jesus Christ, as His true disciples, with our very souls in His protection. Your testimony of Jesus Christ is your personal fortress, the security for your soul. … Our testimonies…our homes, our families, and our membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be our personal fortresses of protection…” — Ronald A. LDS ‘Apostolic’ Easter Message: Reduce Sanctuary Clamor

2 Corinthians 11:13-14 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
General Conference, ‘Behold the Lamb of God’, April 2019 “After expulsion from the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve faced a devastating future. Having opened the door to mortality and temporal life for us, they had closed the door to immortality and eternal life for themselves. Due to a transgression they had consciously chosen to make in our behalf, they now faced physical death and spiritual banishment, separation from the presence of God forever. …
1.Why would it be devastating? According to Mormon canon, Adam and Eve praised God for their sin. Moses 5:11
2.They didn’t sin on our behalf. This is a huge lie! The Bible never says God commanded Adam and Eve to sin. (more…)
2019 General Conference Talks: ‘Leaders Speak Only Truth’

I suppose this conference wasn’t much different than its predecessors, however, it seems their words go further to confuse than in years past. The blatant lies they tell are a shock to the sensibilities of those who know the true Jesus.
The three talks we’ve listed here earned themselves a spot in our series, ‘Worst of the Worst’, just as the last three. Two of them are courtesy of their apostle Dallin Oaks who seemed to go out of his way to deceive.

“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.”
My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
While gathering notes for this article I was listening to praise music, and the song listed above repeated itself. It obviously caught my attention, thus its inclusion here!
The hymn serves as a good reminder of how we’re incapable of fulfilling God’s requirements for salvation! This upcoming holiday is an ever present reminder of how grateful I am for His mercy upon me.
Today we’re looking at three talks, and providing short quotes from each. Sadly, the quotes earned a place in our next installment, ‘Worst of the Worst’ list. Sigh…
Please note the numbering system we’ve used here is purely ours, and doesn’t reflect which order their talks were given.
