July 23 – All scripture. 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”.

If the Lord tells us all scripture is profitable for learning, why would a Christian go to a resource that has nothing to do with the context of God’s word? Mormons would have one believe you should use the BoM to test the Bible. The truth is that the Bible is the measure of truth, not a foreign gospel!

Church News, June 20, 1992, page 3, letter dated May 22, 1992 “…The most reliable way to measure the accuracy of any biblical passage is not by comparing different texts, but by comparison with the Book of Mormon and modern-day revelations. Sincerely your brethren, The First Presidency”
“But I certify to you brethren, that the gospel which was preached to you IS NO AFTER MAN. FOR I NEITHER RECEIVED OF MAN, NEITHER WAS I TAUGHT IT, but by revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Galatian 1: 11,12)
The Mormon Church does not revere the Bible like it does the words spoken by Russell M Nelson. Mormons are taught that the Bible is flawed and that the BOM is the most perfect text ever written. Mormons are taught that the words spoken or written by General Authorities is, in fact, scripture. When a General Authority, such as the Church President, says something that is contrary to what is written in the Bible, you listen to the church president for the truth.
This is cult like in nature. What do you guys think???
