“Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.” Jeremiah 14:14
The late prophet, Joseph Fielding Smith, boldly stated the Church must stand or fall on Smith’s story. He further proclaimed his uncle was either divinely called, or was one of the biggest frauds of this earth.
Today we’re looking at just one example of the fraud this man committed, and how leaders since that time continue to perpetuate his lies.
1954
Doctrines of Salvation 1:188 “CHURCH STANDS OR FALLS WITH JOSEPH SMITH. Mormonism, as it is called, must stand or fall on the story of Joseph Smith. He was either a prophet of God, divinely called, properly appointed and commissioned, or he was one of the biggest frauds this world has ever seen. There is no middle ground.” — Joseph Fielding Smith, 1954-1956
1829
Joseph Smith proclaimed God said He is a Triune God.
History of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1:66 “Which Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, infinite and eternal, without end. Amen.” — Joseph Smith, Revelation on Church Government Given in June 1829
1844
Just 11 days before Smith was shot and killed in a gunfight at the Carthage jail, he proclaimed he had always taught on the plurality of gods.
Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 370 “I will preach on the plurality of Gods. I have selected this text for that express purpose. I wish to declare I have always and in all congregations when I have preach on the subject of the Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods. It has been preached by the Elders for fifteen years.” — Joseph Smith, June 16, 1844
We’re wondering what happened to the revelation he boasted of in 1829…
Did he not think people would remember what he said 15 years beforehand? You’ll see how Joe Smith not only lied this time, but we’ve documented at least 120 false prophecies of Joseph Smith. See link for more info.
What about the Lord? What happened to the biblical Jesus Smith was preaching at the beginning of his career?
Be sure to pray for your Mormon friends/loved ones, and ask what they think of this!
According to the 10th prophet Joseph Fielding Smith, his uncle is the biggest fraud this earth has ever known. This is truly tragic for the Mormon people. Especially as time keeps rolling on, and now they have a prophet who seems more interested in having his picture taken than anything to do with the real Jesus of the Bible.

The validity of the church does, indeed, stand on the truthfulness of Joseph’s Smith’s accounts of certain events, starting with his “First Vision”. While I was a member of the church, I was taught that Joe, immediately after having this “First Vision” in the “Sacred Grove” , went out and told people about it. I always thought his story had to be true, because what 14 year old boy could hold on to such a story, (lie) despite all the ridicule, harassment, bullying that he would have had. to endure? I brought this up in Sunday School Class one time and everybody agreed with my assessment of the truthfulness of Joe’s account, based on his righteous convictions (certainties) of an event witnessed by this 14 year old kid.
It wasn’t until I left the church and discovered this site and other sites like it, that I found out that Joe didn’t announce the First Vision until years after it happened and even then, couldn’t get his story straight while describing what happened during the “First Vision”
Bottom line, Mormons are kept in the dark about facts surrounding Joe’s life. They are told not to read anything anti-Mormon and not to engage in conversation with anybody that is anti-Mormon.
I believe that the Mormon Church sees the Internet and sites as as Life After Ministry, as being the biggest threats to its survival
