October 1 – Debasing Jesus. John 20:17 “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
_____
This verse is simply stating that Jesus, in His resurrected body, had not yet ascended to the Father. Nowhere in this verse does it mention it’s proof God had sex with some ‘heavenly mother’ to beget spirit children!

“It is only by understanding the real and literal sense in which God is our Father that we are able to understand what is meant by the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man. In addition to the fact that all men are brothers in the sense that all have descended from Adam, they are also brothers in that they have the same personal Father who begat them in the spirit. Our Lord had reference to this when he said, “Go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” (John 20:17.)” Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, 278.
If you are a Mormon, please read the Bible. Do not consider the words of your prophet to be scripture. The Bible is God’s way of communicating with humankind. If you llook to your General Authorities for guidance instead of the Bible, please remember what Jesus said in Matthew 15:8,9): “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are from me. But in vain, they do worship me, teaching the doctrines the commandments of men.”
The Mormon Church is teaching the doctrine of men, most of which was rooted in the imagination of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young (Read 2 Corinthians 10:5)
