October 11 – Joseph Smith’s Atonement Contradictions. Galatians 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.”

We’ve all read talks given by LDS leaders who’ve said Jesus paid for sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. Today we’re looking at their canon telling us otherwise.
Whom do you believe; Joseph Smith, or the other LDS leaders? Sadly, Smith contradicted himself. He gave the prophecy in D&C 21:9 on April 6, 1830. The prophecy in D&C 19:18 listed below was delivered in March 1830.
“Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink—”

D&C 21:9 “For, behold, I will bless all those who labor in my vineyard with a mighty blessing, and they shall believe on his words, which are given him through me by the Comforter, which manifesteth that Jesus was crucified by sinful men for the sins of the world, yea, for the remission of sins unto the contrite heart.”
