1 Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”.
Yesterday (July 15, 2020) the Church announced the publication of Eliza Snow’s Discourses anyone can read online.
In case you’re unaware, Ms. Snow was the 2nd president of the Relief Society, and older sister of Lorenzo Snow, the Church’s 5th prophet/president. She was the 14th wife of Joe Smith, and became the 10th wife of Brigham Young, 4 months after Smith’s death. She lived from 1804 – 1887.
The Church had nothing but glowing reports about Eliza. Here in part is what they said –
‘She taught women to develop their own relationship with God, live by Gospel standards and minister to others. Snow, who was also a poet, exemplified and described the contributions of Latter-day Saint women in society.’
Ms. Snow was the 13th woman to sign a declaration denying a ‘secret wife system’ which means she lied about being married to Smith, and lied to Emma as well. Lies of the Relief Society.
If anything, her life didn’t exemplify the Lord. She lived a sad life apart from Him, and served as a testament of what not to do. It saddens our hearts to see how the Church continues to go out of its way to focus on anything but Jesus.

The church spends a lot more time and effort focusing on its leaders than it does Jesus Christ. The church knows that if they can convince members to look to the President of the Church for answers to life’s questions, they will ensure that an atmosphere of reliance on man, rather than God, will be the order of the day. . For example, church members do not trust the Bible for divine guidance because they are told that the Bible is not 100% reliable due to translation problems (Art#8 AoF). At the same time, members are reminded daily to trust the words of their Prophet and General Authorities. To doubt or question a prophet is considered an abomination. In other words, trust the prophet, not the Bible. Shameful.
