August 2 — Jesus’ Last Promise. Revelation 22:20 “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
_____
Are you prepared for the Lord’s return? Jesus proclaimed His soon return three times in this chapter alone — vss. 7, 12, and 20.
John’s response to the Lord’s proclamation was a hearty Amen! The transliteration for Amen is amēn, and means, ‘so be it’. As Christians, may we all proclaim His soon return in our prayers each day!
Sadly, LDS members won’t be told about these things in their lessons because of the Church’s attitude towards the Bible. It’s nothing short of a tragedy they’ve planted doubts about God’s word into the minds of its members. Be sure to share this info with the Mormon you know, and explain how you/they can incorporate this into a prayer, and be confident in His word!

Suffered Loss of Many Plain and Precious Things – LDS Church News “The Bible, as it has been transmitted over the centuries, has suffered the loss of many plain and precious parts…Unfortunately, no original manuscripts of any portion of the Bible are available for comparison to determine the most accurate version. However, the Lord has revealed clearly the doctrines of the gospel in these latter days. The most reliable way to measure the accuracy of any biblical passage is not by comparing different texts, but by comparison with the Book of Mormon and modern-day revelations.”
Wikipedia says Joseph Smith went through the entire KJ Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Making changes in all 66 books. So shouldn’t the JST be the best translation ever? And why doesn’t the LDS church use the JST? And why can’t I find it in my Church’s book store?
If you are LDS, you need to understand it was Joseph Smith who perverted the Bible. Or else you would use it. Also we do have manuscripts lots of them. Do yourself a favor and check it out. It’s all digitized with side by side comparisons. The whole Bible. It’s so cool.
By the way, it has just recently been discovered that Joseph Smith plagiarized the JST with a commentary written by Adam Clarke.
