Alma 41:8 “Now, the decrees of God are unalterable; therefore, the way is prepared that whosoever will may walk therein and be saved.” [emp. added]
Moroni 10:32–33 “Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. 33 And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot.” [emp. added]
BUT…
2 Nephi 25:23 “For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.” [emp. added]
Here’s what the Lord says can/will happen when people reject Him…
Deuteronomy 28:58, 65-66 “If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life.”
The first two LDS references above are footnotes taken from Dale Renlund’s talk at General Conference. We’ll take a look at what he said in the next few days. For now, we’re pointing out the contradictions as a segue for the upcoming post.
Meanwhile, we’re asking you pray for Mormons to pick up on the Book of Mormon contradictions, and take a moment to share the truth with a Mormon you know!
With Love in Christ;

How does one “deny themselves of all ungodliness? Has anyone except Jesus ever done this? Has president Nelson done this?
And what is “after all we can do”??? How do we know when we’ve done All we can do?
Please keep in mind Adam and Eve were given ONE thing…not to eat the fruit…and they failed.
It’s all about serving the church in order to be saved. If a church member does not work hard to make God happy, then they will have no place with God in eternity. The Mormon church lays down the rules of “working for salvation”. The church also convinces it’s members that the Mormon church is the “only true church” Joining another church and learning about salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and his shed blood for the remission of sins, is not acceptable to Mormons, because they believe (are taught) that other churches are deficient in their understanding of God and Jesus Christ.
In the LDS church, faith is never enough. You must work hard to please God. You must try (on your own) to make God happy. You must go to the Temple often, paying your tithes, so that you can go to the temple often, having saving ordinances performed on you at the temple.. Without the saving ordinance, salvation is not possible. You must be baptized into the Mormon church by an authorized priesthood holder. Unless you are baptized by an authorized LDS priesthood holder, you baptism is illegitimate in the eyes of God. Oh, and lets not forget, baptisms can only be performed in a certain manner, such as an authorized baptismal font, head completely submerged, certain words spoken by the baptizer, in the exact order (sequence) as that they are written on a card. A Mormon must be properly endowed by attending an Endowment ceremony, that was created by Joseph Smith, based on the ceremonial rites of the Freemasons.
In other words, unless you are LDS, salvation is not possible. This is why Dieter Uchtdorf once said, if you ever leave the Mormon church, where are you going to go?
