‘A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.’ Proverbs 29:23
General Conference, ‘Sisters in Zion’, October 2020 “If the past is prologue, at the time of the Savior’s coming, the daughters who are deeply committed to their covenants with God will be more than half of those who are prepared to welcome Him when He comes. But whatever the numbers, your contribution in creating unity among the people prepared for that Zion will be far greater than half.” — Henry B. Eyring
Luke 18:11-14 “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”
Obadiah 1:3 “The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?”
Mr. Eyring’s comment is telling.
Why is it important to believe there will be more Mormons in heaven than everyone else? The Bible tells us people from all nations will be there that no man can number.
Revelation 7:9 “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands”.
Once again, the Church has gone out of its way to separate itself from the body of Christ. See Anti-Mormon? How Mormons View the Body of Christ, for more info.
The only thing Christians concern themselves with is making sure they’ll be there to live eternally with sweet Jesus. This isn’t a contest beloved. Remember, many are called, but few are chosen Matthew 7:13-14.
Share the truth about heaven with a Mormon you know. It’s not to be rude, but to inform, and as always, use demonstrative evidence!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
According to LDS church doctrine and beliefs, only Mormons will be allowed to enter the Celestial Kingdom. Mormons believe and teach, that in order for a person to enter the celestial kingdom, even the lowest level of the CK, they must have all of the Saving Ordinances performed on them. These ordinances are received, for the most part, in LDS Temples. Without a Temple Recommend, nobody gets into a Mormon Temple. One time in church I asked what level of heaven that Billy and Franklin Graham would likely go to.I was told, the Terrestrial Kingdom. Billy and Franklin Graham have brought more people to a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ than most people could ever imagine. Yet ,because they are not bringing people to the LDS church and because they themselves, have not been baptized into the LDS church, they don’t get to reap the benefits of an eternal with God and Jesus inside the CK.
Also, according to Brigham Young, Joseph Smith will be standing at the gates of the Veil and of the Celestial Kingdom, along with Jesus, .to give his permission (or denial) for entry into the CK.
No wonder the Mormons believe they are God’s only true church. They don’t know any different because they are not encouraged to read the Bible.
Lol that’s not what we believe at all, clearly you haven’t done real research. The church teaches most of the Latter Day Saints will be in the terrestrial kingdom. *sigh* Yet another misguided religious critic with little knowledge on the topic she wasted an article on.
Hi Anonymous, thank you for commenting. The author was merely pointing out what Henry Eyring said in a talk at General Conference. It’s not her opinion, it’s Mr. Eyring’s. So you don’t believe Eyring? Is he not speaking for the church? I assure you Michelle is not a “Lazy Learner”…she does her homework. She even provided the link so you can listen to his speech in it’s entirely. Did you listen to it? Did you do your research before posting your comment? So you could counter where she is wrong. She even backed it up, (not with her opinion), but with Scripture…God’s Word.
Even the commenter before you said that he learned that.
Please listen to the talk and let her know point by point where she got it wrong so she can correct any errors.
Looking forward to your response,
Melissa
