“The end of all activity in the Church is to see that a man and a woman with their children are happy at home, sealed for eternity.” — Boyd K. Packer, 2015
Earlier this month we posted an article on a talk given by Dale Renlund who stated that LDS members should ask themselves if they’ve done enough. In his talk he mentioned another talk given by Boyd Packer in 2015.
Mr. Packer’s talk had two subject matters; the importance of ‘mating’, and the atonement of Christ. Over the next few days, we’ll look at some of the statements Mr. Packer made at that time. To be sure, his comments earned a spot in our next publication of ‘Worst of the Worst’. We looked at a small portion of his talk back when he originally gave it in 2015.
General Conference, ‘The Plan of Happiness’, April 2015 “The commandment to multiply and replenish the earth has never been rescinded. It is essential to the plan of redemption and is the source of human happiness. Through the righteous exercise of this power, we may come close to our Father in Heaven and experience a fulness of joy, even godhood. The power of procreation is not an incidental part of the plan; it is the plan of happiness; it is the key to happiness.
The desire to mate in humankind is constant and very strong. … Ideally, mating begins with romance. … True love requires reserving until after marriage the sharing of that affection which unlocks those sacred powers in that fountain of life. …
When entered into worthily, this process combines the most exquisite and exalted physical, emotional, and spiritual feelings associated with the word love. That part of life has no equal, no counterpart, in all human experience. …
I am so grateful for the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the power of procreation, for the power of redemption, for the Atonement—the Atonement which can wash clean every stain no matter how difficult or how long or how many times repeated.” — Boyd Packer
John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Contrary to what Mr. Packer said, agape love is the greatest love there is. It’s associated with the love God has for us as seen in His sacrifice for us on the cross. As usual, this church has only one thing on its mind, and it’s not Jesus. Moreover, why isn’t the Church’s top priority in seeing that people worship the true God?
Most unfortunately, Mr. Packer refused to believe the truth, and worse yet, lied about it to the world. His false teachings continue to hold many in to the world of falsehoods.
Pray for those who believe these hideous lies, and that they’d place their trust in the true love of Christ Jesus, and Him crucified!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
Funny that happiness is not something we are promised.
This Plan of Happiness that Mormons love to speak about, is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. Like most things Mormon, church members are taught to rely on the words of Joe Smith and other church leaders, rather than the words contained in the Bible. God doesn’t promise us a life of “Happy Times. Instead,. God promises us joy in His presence, thru faith, and our willingness to “Wait on Him” (Nehemiah 8:10; Psalm 27:14) in times of tribulation, knowing and believing that he is our redeemer, our deliverer and our rock, so that we can be happy only, when trusting in Him (Proverbs 16;20)
I’ve always said the LDS was founded on lies, but really it was founded on lies and sex.
u are lier and u print the word sealed. what is sealing compare to mating? u ignorance odf sealing and yet claim the latter day saints mating is priority. u mate with ur devilish teaching and go to hel with devil of never ending misery
