Do You Have God’s Protection Over You? Zechariah 11:4-6b “Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter; 5 Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not. 6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour’s hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.”
Luke 19:41-44 “And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, 42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. 43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.”

Rejection causes God to remove His protection .. Can you imagine such a horrifying event for your life? I cannot. Jesus’ heart was broken, but being God He also holds the position of judge. He judges sin and offers forgiveness, or condemnation. Israel chose the latter, and my fear for the Mormons is that they’ve done the same. About 40 years after our Lord removed His protection over Israel it was leveled yet again in the Jewish uprising of 70 AD.
The image above are stairs leading to the entrance of the inner temple. Archaeologists recently discovered this staircase located at the southern entrance of the temple, just south of the Huldah Gates. It’s the one place in Jerusalem that we can safely say Jesus would’ve walked upon. This staircase is 200’ wide with 15 steps, each of varying heights and it’s believed they were built to correspond to the Psalms of the Ascent from Psalms 120-134.

Gordon B. Hinckley from the LDS General Conference in April 2002. Hinckley said; “As a Church we have critics, many of them. They say we do not believe in the traditional Christ of Christianity. There is some substance to what they say. Our faith, our knowledge is not based on ancient tradition, the creeds which came of a finite understanding and out of the almost infinite discussions of men trying to arrive at a definition of the risen Christ. Our faith, our knowledge comes of the witness of a prophet in this dispensation…” – Ensign, May 2002, p 90.
But if the prophet was a false prophet, and Joseph Smith was certainly a false prophet, then you end up with a false Christ.
