For the Strength of the Youth, ‘The Great Cause of the Restoration’, January 2021 “…We should always remember the price Joseph and Hyrum Smith paid…to establish the Church so you and I could enjoy the many blessings and all of these revealed truths we have today. Their faithfulness should never be forgotten! … Before his death in 1844, Joseph wrote a spirited letter to the Saints. It was a call to action, which continues in the Church today: Brethren [and sisters], shall we not go on in so great a cause? …
“We should always remember the price Hyrum and Joseph Smith paid. … Their faithfulness should never be forgotten!” … Consider what offering you will present to the Lord in righteousness in the coming days. Be courageous…I know that the Savior is pleased when we present Him an offering from our hearts in righteousness, just as He was pleased with the faithful offering of those remarkable brothers, Joseph and Hyrum Smith…” — M. Russell Ballard
Jude 1:24-25 “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
The Church’s end of the ‘Ensign’ brought to the forefront another magazine, ‘For the Strength of the Youth’. Today we’re looking at an article by M. Russell Ballard we found therein. To read their article in full, see link above.
Without a doubt, Mr. Ballard put a heavy emphasis on the deaths of Joe and Hyrum Smith. While doing so he lied by telling people their deaths paved the way to salvation and glaringly left out the death of Jesus who paid the real price.
He also lied by stating their work paved the way for the beginning of true Christianity.
The tragedy in this man’s lies is the target audience. It’s always bad when LDS leaders lie to its members at large, however, it’s exponentially worse when they poison young minds with the lies.
Please, pray the youth will question this man’s article, and for Jesus to protect their hearts!
With Love in Christ –

The price they paid to send Mormons to Hell if they don’t seek the true Jesus and repent.
it’s very sad, but true. 🙁
Joe jumped out a window. The Lord was led to the cross without a whimper. The contrast could not be more clear. One was a coward. One was a Redeemer. Seems like a case of ‘are you going to believe me or your lying eyes.’ When ‘leaders’ do this enough, it can erase all effort to use one’s mind. Sounds like a satan-trick to me.
AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!! The contrast you pointed out is beyond frightening. How I hope & pray they’d all see the folly of their choices & the Church’s lying ways.
