Restoration of the Gospel “The gospel of Jesus Christ was lost from the earth through the apostasy that took place following the earthly ministry of Christ’s Apostles. That apostasy made necessary the Restoration of the gospel. Through visions, the ministering of angels, and revelations to men on the earth, God restored the gospel. The Restoration started with the Prophet Joseph Smith (JS—H 1; D&C 128:20–21) and has continued to the present through the work of the Lord’s living prophets.” – LDS.org
Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
It never hurts to be reminded of historical truth! Today we’re taking a look back to what we published a few years ago.
For 190 years, the LDS Church has brazenly declared that Jesus Christ, the very Son of God, is a failure. In order for people to believe their claim, a methodical plan of attack would need implementing. The following observations are in part, some of the ways this church has attacked God, and His Son, Jesus Christ.
1.Put doubt into the minds of their audience.
They’ve done this with the following methods ~
2.Openly questions God’s authority.
3.Discredits truth of His word with lies. See Bible Alone Cannot Save.
4.Ignored the countless # of churches in existence in the past 2,000 yrs. (Capernaum Synagogue is a good example. It’s been there since the 4th century AD.)
5.Called the bride of Christ the whore of the earth. 1 Nephi 14:10
6.Called Jesus a polygamist. See Married in Cana in our 3,000 Reasons to Leave Mormonism.
7.Deified man & debased God.
8.Replaced Jesus with Joseph. See Restoration link above.
9.Usurped God’s Holy Writ with ‘Another Testament’, aka, Book of Mormon. 8th Article of Faith.
10.Jesus didn’t have power to save. See God Saved Christ; Christ Couldn’t Save Anyone.
Was this truly a ‘restoration’? Restoring something means you’ve repaired what is already in existence. Nothing in LDS doctrines can be found in the Bible.
Pray that Mormons realize this was no restoration at all, but Joe Smith’s denial, and hatred for God.
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
No “restoration” needed!!! Why would an omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent God need any kind of restoration? He would never let His Church fall into apostasy. God is not a failure…And didn’t need Joesph Smith’s help.
Deuteronomy 31:8
And the Lord, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will NOT FAIL thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.
amen!!! 🙂
