October 25 – 1st Vision Greatest Event of 19th Century. John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

9th President of the Church — David Oman McKay — Served from 1951–1970
The 19th century brought at least 20 major changes to the world. Unfortunately, the Church seems to think the following items were less significant than Joseph Smith.
In less than 100 years we saw the end of slavery, invention of the automobile and railroads, establishment of the public school system, the invention of the telephone, camera, pasteurization process, Morse Code, indoor plumbing, and the first electric warehouse.
We were also blessed with the lives of Clara Barton (founder of the Red Cross), Abraham Lincoln, Florence Nightingale, Charles Dickens, Lewis and Clark, Louisa May Alcott, Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, oh and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony was completed.
Lastly, perhaps the most significant of them all was the 2nd Great Awakening that swept through America.
How is it that none of these people knew about God, and events of the 19th c. were all less significant than Joseph’s vision?

Gospel Ideals, p. 77 “The greatest event of the nineteenth century was the appearing of two heavenly Beings to the boy Prophet Joseph Smith, revealing the personal identity respectively of God the Eternal Father and of his Son Jesus Christ.” — David O. McKay, Millennial Star Volume 85:408

I wonder to which version of that first vision David O. was referring? And….if David O. was slightly familiar with the Bible, he would have realized that God the Father is spirit…no body! So many lies but they have to keep their ‘share holders’ happy.
Amen to that. Lest we forget their name is LDS, Inc. … 🙁
The “two heavenly beings” were nothing more than demons, if there really was anyone Smith saw.
Amen to that!
Yes, I have wondered if Joe saw anything. Perhaps he was eating magic mushrooms in that grove and he imagined the entire thing or….we know he can lie.
He did like those plant based meds as they call them nowadays. 😉
