November 17 — No Prophet, No Salvation? Micah 5:2b “…yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel…”
John 15:10 “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”
_____
Moments after Judas’ departure from the Last Supper Jesus reminded His disciples to abide. Abiding in Him means to abide in love for the brethren which in turn means you’ll be in obedience to His commandments. Just like Judas there will always be some in the crowd who say all the right things, but in reality they’re wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Joseph Smith’s teachings are a good example of this today. The behavior of the Mormon people looks great on the outside, but inside their hearts they’re only obedient to Joseph.

[…] No Prophet, No Salvation? […]
Hebrews 1:.1-2
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets. Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
No need for prophets in these last days. Jesus died for you not a prophet. Trusting in Him alone is all we need.
Amen sister – very well said and a great reminder of how our Lord reminds us all the time through His word where we can find truth!
Scripture please? Where does the Bible say that if there are no prophets there is no salvation in Jesus?
Oh Glenn- don’t forget many plain and precious things are missing from the Bible, so we need.a prophet to fill in the gaps 😉.
