Jesus’ own words tell us what is required to enter into the kingdom of God. Not one single time did Jesus mention the necessity of getting married in a certain building to get married. The following lesson from Spencer Kimball tells the members how vital it is to have a temple marriage.

‘Using a chalkboard, he drew four circles, stacked one above the other, and named them Circles of Exaltation. In the top circle, President Kimball wrote Eternal Life, which is the main goal that all of us share. He then drew a line representing the strait and narrow path from the second circle to the first one. In the second circle he wrote the words Eternal Marriage to remind everyone that this ordinance is essential in our quest for eternal life. If we are not married in the temple, we cannot receive eternal life.’ Allan K. Burgess, Teens, Temple Marriage, and Eternity [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book, 1988], 79.

Liar, Mr. K! So you are saying Paul has lost his chance for eternal life? Paul, the one who counted losing everything for Christ no big deal, that Paul? The comment like the one Mr. K. pronounced here is the reason I married my first husband in the temple and it turned out very badly. Talk about dung, as Paul did. The cult is full of manmade notions to trap and control the people. I praise the Name of Jesus for I was blind, but now I see. Hallelujah.
Amen! Isn’t it amazing how we can justify what we’ve learned as an excuse for poor choices. Been there done that myself unfortunately. 🙁
