Church News, ‘Our Constant Companion’, 1 Oct 2023 “Individuals can be taught by and learn from the Spirit line upon line, receiving what is needed until ready for more.
“We need the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. We desire it, yet we know from experience that it is not easy to achieve. We each think, say and do things in our daily lives that can offend the Spirit.” When that happens, remember the promise offered in the sacrament prayers. …
For those who are having a difficult time feeling the Holy Ghost: “Ponder whether there is anything for which you might repent and receive forgiveness.” — Henry B. Eyring
1 Corinthians 3:16 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
John 14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
Mr. Eyring’s words were nothing but lies from the get-go. God has told us time and again that He’ll never leave us.
Furthermore, true believers can’t lose the HS. Scripture tells us not to grieve nor quench the HS but losing Him is impossible.
Shame on Mr. Eyring for telling such lies! Tell the Mormon you know why this man’s talk was very wrong!

[…] Conference Quote: Keeping Holy Ghost Isn’t Easy […]
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2::4
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
And Paul was describing people like Henry B. Erying here. Who knows nothing about how the Holy Spirit operates. So he uses the enticing words of man.
