November 2 — Why Does the Church Need 17 More Temples? The Prophet Announces 17 New Temples at the October 2024 General Conference “The Church of Jesus Christ now has 367 houses of the Lord operating, announced or under construction.”
“Why are we building temples at such an unprecedented pace?” asked the prophet, who has announced 185 temples — more than half of all temples in the Church — since 2018.
“Why? Because the Lord has instructed us to do so. The blessings of the temple help to gather Israel on both sides of the veil. These blessings also help to prepare a people who will help prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Lord!”
Latter-day Saints consider each temple to be a house of the Lord and the most sacred places of worship on the earth.
The primary purpose of temples is for faithful members of the Church to receive peace, inspiration, and spiritual power as they enter into sacred agreements with God in His holy house.” — Church News

Ezekiel 13:2-3 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD; 3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!”

We have a few questions/comments about the 17 new temples Mr. Nelson announced at the October GC.
1.The Bible tells us God’s HS resides inside the believer so why would anyone need a temple to find peace? 1 Cor. 3:16, 6:19.
2.Nelson stated that God told him to build more temples to gather Israel on both sides of the veil. Dead people are just that. Dead. Jesus told us in Luke 16:19-31 those who’ve died can’t interact with the living.
3.How do all these temples ‘help prepare people for the 2nd Coming of the Lord’?
4.Other than lining the pockets of the Church while excluding the average member of the Church what purpose does all this serve?
5.The Bible also tells us we shouldn’t be baptizing dead people in 1 Cor. 15:29, and Jesus also said there are no marriages in heaven in Mark 12:25.
It seems that Nelson is trying to do as much damage as he possibly can.
Please pray for anyone who listened to this guy and ask Jesus into their hearts!

[…] Why Does the Church Need 17 More Temples? […]
We home church now, but our last IFB pastor had progressed to Chuck Missler’s 3rd stage of a church. Pastor became “property oriented.” This included a large outdoor cross with a reflecting pool. 😔 The lust for worldly things infects even Godly churches. Very sad, and it makes me long even more intensely for our King to return.
Yeah, being a Zionist is sketchy and from what I’ve read about him (Missler) he had a lot going on and not in a good sense.
We are Christian Zionists, with respect to prophecy being fulfilled as the Jews return to their homeland. Which points to Jesus all the more.
It reminds me of Scientology, they buy up a lot of buildings and property. Just look at how much we’re growing. But the buildings are empty, and the properties are vacant. I’ve watched a documentary on Scientology and they’ve turned Clearwater FL into a ghost town.
If these “Temple’s” are from God, why is the church having problems building in small town America? Why can’t the LDS church comply with the cities building and zoning requirements.like everyone else.
God doesn’t need help preparing for the “Second Coming” Because…
Acts 17 :24
“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and Earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands”.

Oh how I wish they’d connect the dots on this!
