I came across our LDS reference the other day and couldn’t believe how blasphemous Mr. Costa’s comment was. I know, I know, I’m always saying that nothing else will surprise me when it comes to the Church. And here I am again…sigh…
The phrase eternal life occurs 41 times – all in the NT. Outside of that there’s only one other time that it occurs and it’s in Daniel 12:2. See CARM for a great article on this!
To insinuate obedience to men brings eternal life makes Jesus a liar. The mere thought should cause concern to anyone calling themselves a Christian.
