‘The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.’ Psalm 25:9
May 21 — Joseph Smith Wanted to be a 2nd Mohammed. Fawn M. Brodie, No Man Knows My History, p. 230-231 “We will trample down our enemies and make it one gore of blood from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean. I will be to this generation a second Mohammed, whose motto in treating for peace was ‘the Alcoran [Qu’ran] or the Sword.’ So shall it eventually be with us – ‘Joseph Smith or the Sword!’” – Joseph Smith, October 14, 1838

Jude 1:12 “These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots.”

A second Mohammed? Great. If these incendiary comments don’t get you packing your bags nothing will.
These are clearly the words of a false prophet. They certainly don’t sound like someone who’s humble!
I can’t imagine following the dictates of a leader who thinks like this. While the average Mormon won’t know that Smith said these things leaders of the Church are very aware that he did.
As an FYI about Fawn Brodie – She was a multi-generational Mormon from Ogden, Utah and the niece of the ninth LDS prophet David O. McKay.
While working at the Church she began doing research on Joe Smith and gained access to files the Church had hidden in their archives. When the Church found out she met with her uncle and was excommunicated soon afterwards in 1946.
Please pray that Mormons would see the futility in following this man and others that have followed him.
With Love in Christ –
