December 29 — We read on the LDS News that LDS Apostle Jeffrey Holland died on Saturday December 27, 2025, he was 85 years old. For more info see 27 December 2025 – SALT LAKE CITY News Release.
Today we’re praying for his family that they might be saved. The LDS article gave a link with all the talks Mr. Holland gave during his lifetime you can access in their article.
For us there were two memorable talks he gave. One was when was in Kenya with Russell Nelson where they told people they’re poor because they don’t tithe. See SHAMEFUL LDS AFRICAN TOUR for more info.
The other talk was in 2022 when he tried to explain why they don’t use the cross as a symbol of their faith. Conference Quote: Why Mormons Don’t Use the Cross. The Salt Lake Tribune said they don’t use the cross because it stems from how brutal of a death the cross represents. They forgot to mention that it was prophesied in the Bible in Deuteronomy 21:22
“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree”.
Our response to their comment about the cross?
Yep.
He was condemned and died for us on the cross! How incredibly heartbreaking none of those involved understood this.
Pray that if Mormons are going to mourn it’d be for their lack of concern about Jesus!
