stickman thinking 3It’s a sad day for Seattle as far as I’m concerned.

I know there’s sin in the world and I also know this country (and the world too) is going down a steep road really fast.  Got it.  I’ve just been noticing a trend of sorts in the last couple of years with living in Seattle that I find interesting.  It seems whenever something outrageous is passed as law here, the country tends to follow right along.

The effects of “Super Storm Sandy” will last a long time.  If you’ve seen the news lately scenes of homes up in smoke, cities under water and even the iconic boardwalks of Atlantic City and Coney Island have been changed – maybe forever.

While the news has a way of capitalizing on the death and destruction of these major weather events, sometimes they’ll show their human side and highlight a human interest story like we saw this time around.

Thought of the Day about Mormonism:

Mormons Serve Their Country by Going on Missions?

My Google Alerts this morning proved to be an interesting one…  Oh, brother.

Apparently Ann Romney spent Thursday morning earlier this week on ABC’s show The View.  While Whoopi Goldberg was busy asking Ann Romney if it was true Mormons don’t serve in wars because it’s against their religion, Ann had to correct the wrong information floating around out in cyberspace somewhere. I won’t even delve into the topic of why Ms. Goldberg didn’t do her homework; suffice it to say Mrs. Romney corrected her.

Thought of the Day about Life

Saturday was a monumental day in California.  What happened you say?  Well in case you missed it, Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law a ban on gay conversion therapy for anyone under the age of eighteen. The governor referred to the therapy as “quackery”.
