Revelation 22:13 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

The phrase Alpha and Omega is one of the quintessential titles of our Lord. The very title and its meaning are self-explanatory. It envelops God’s relationship with mankind as we see in John’s revelations (see ref. below), as well as His interaction with man from the beginning of time.

One great example is found in Isaiah 43:10-11 when the Lord declared He’s the only God and there were none before Him just as there won’t be any others after Him.

With this in mind, we have a couple of questions today about a symbol on the outside of the Salt Lake temple. Whether it’ll make a showing after their renovation is unclear, but for now we’re wondering why it was there to begin with. (more…)
