On Sunday November 12, 2023, LDS Apostle M. Russell Ballard passed away – he was 95 years old.

He was the great-great grandson of Hyrum Smith (Joseph Smith’s older brother).

I found a good explanation of how the Church picks the next apostle in the Salt Lake Trib. Be sure to check it out!

The Church’s system of how it works reminded me of what the disciples said to the Lord when they asked Him who is the greatest amongst themselves. See Luke 9:46-47, Luke 22:24-27, Matthew 18:1-4, and Mark 9:33-36. (more…)

L Tom PerryTo update our readers – Mormon apostle L. Tom Perry died today, May 30, 2015, at age 92. He died at his home in Salt Lake City around 3 pm local time. Here’s the link for further info.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle †

Today is the 2nd part of our look at the article in Ensign that we touched upon yesterday. There are a few topics I feel are important to point out and ask that you use them as witnessing tools for your Mormon friends and loved ones!

Mormon Decisions 10Ensign, “We Believe in Being Chaste”, May 2013; “The eternal importance of chastity can only be understood within the overarching context of our Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness for His children. “All human beings—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and … has a divine nature and destiny” (“The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2010, 129). All men and women lived with God as His spirit children before coming to the earth as mortal beings. The Father’s plan enables His spirit sons and daughters to obtain physical bodies, to gain mortal experience, and to progress toward exaltation.” – LDS apostle David Bednar
