Like salt can lose its essence, we can also lose our spiritual vitality if our faith in Jesus Christ becomes casual. …
Here are four simple yet profound ways we can strive to be the salt of the earth:

Matthew 5:13 “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”

We have a few questions about Mr. Teixeira’s talk.
1.Why is the temple the center of your devotion?
2.What does the ‘soul of your devotion mean’?
3.Can you find the heart of your faith in Jesus outside of the temple? If you can’t do this, why?
4.How do you become the salt of the earth inside the temple? Anyone outside the temple can’t hear or see you so what purpose does this serve?
5.Being the salt of the earth entails that you behave differently than others and people will see it immediately.
Lastly, being the salt of the earth means you’re preserving what God has already revealed. Mormonism is far removed from God’s true gospel.
Pray for members of the Church to ask Jesus into their hearts and reject what these foolish people said at the conference!
