Upon my arrival into Christianity the Lord blessed me beyond belief by placing a mature Christian woman older than myself into my life, and the lives of my family. Her name is Fran.
I’d call Fran every day with the smallest of worries plaguing me at the time. Each time we spoke her response to my endless queries was to quote one of two scriptures. It was either 2 Corinthians 10:5, or Philippians 4:8. The poor woman!
As I grew in the Lord, frantic worries dissipated and thankfully I began settling down in the Lord because I started looking for answers to my queries in His word.
Today in ministry as I look over some of the fallacious doctrines Mormons espouse, I often wonder if they’ve stopped to think upon 2 Corinthians 10:5 or Philippians 4:8. Most assuredly Orson Pratt’s lies aren’t pure, and his teachings have done everything but cast down wild imaginations!

2 Corinthians 10:5 – “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”.

Philippians 4:8 – “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Completely absent is the concept we’ll be in heaven to praise God and worship Him. The entire LDS plan for heaven is nothing but eternal sex and reminiscent of what was going on in Paul’s day at the Temple of Diana – also known as Artemis.
Fast forward 2,000 years another definition for what is going on in Mormonism is ‘celestial polygamy’.

The LDS is really focused on sex. Polygamy, eternal sex for procreation, God wondering if a woman is a virgin, etc. Smith was a serial adulterer.
As the Lord said, they are from the father of lies. It’s so gut wrenching. It’s a wonder indeed they don’t see it. Eph 6:11-12 the power and principalities of the air.
