June 17 — I came across an article on the blog My Life by Gogo Goff titled “Why Ex-Mormons Can’t Leave The Church Alone”.

The article begins by talking about former Mormons online who have said how happy they are now that they’ve left the Church because now, they are “guilt-free”.

This may be true for some former members. Mormonism places many restrictions on its members. The dietary rules, along with the forbidden use of tobacco or alcohol can be difficult, especially for new converts to the Church.  April 8 – The title of my article is something I’ve thought about many times. I was a member of the Mormon Church for 18 years. My husband and I served in many areas in the church and attended the temple as often as possible. Thankfully, the Lord led us to a local church that took us under their wing and discipled and supported us. We will always be grateful to them and to Michelle at Life After Ministries for encouraging and leading us to the truth. (more…)

Either the Book of Mormon is what the Prophet Joseph said it is or this Church and its founder are false, fraudulent, a deception from the first instance onward.” – ELDER JEFFREY R. HOLLAND, “TRUE OR FALSE” 2, NEW ERA, JUNE 1995

Today we’re obviously looking at the well known ‘CES Letter’ – woo-hoo! It’s to my regret that I somehow have missed placing this on our sites, nonetheless, it’s finally here.

For those who are unaware, the ‘LETTER TO A CES DIRECTOR’ was written by Jeremy T. Runnells. He was a life-long 6th generation Utah Mormon, who at one time was a very active member of the Church. (more…)
