Luke 22:7-13; “Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. 8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. 9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. 11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. 13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.”

Today we’re finishing up our look at the significant items used during Holy Week on Maundy Thursday by examining the meaning of Communion and the price of Judas’ betrayal.

First and foremost, we pray Mormons will come to know the significance and meaning of Maundy Thursday in its fullest sense.

Maundy is the Latin word for command. Jesus’ simple command was for His disciples to love and serve one another. We see His example of this in the washing of the disciples’ feet, and His sweet love for mankind by giving His life.

If  you’re LDS, we want  you to know…Jesus died for you wholly, and without exception. There’s nothing you’ve done that would prevent Him from providing a total and complete salvation. Likewise, there’s nothing you could do to pay the price for salvation. The price needed for a full salvation is out of your league. Only Jesus can afford that price!

Matthew 26:26-29 “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
