The quote comes from the diary of an early Mormon, Benjamin Johnson, who served on the ‘Council of the Fifty’ for Joseph Smith.

Islam vs Mormonism

                The Islamic faith is centered on the belief in one God and in Arabic he is called Allah. The Muslims, followers of Islam, believe that Muhammad was visited by an angel of light from whom he received God’s final revelation. Muhammad claimed that this angel of light was Gabriel, the same Gabriel as the one from the Old Testament of the Bible. It was several years before these visions were recorded in what is called the Quran, the sacred scripture of Islam.
