Galatians 3:26-28 “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Is this the work of a Holy God?

Today we’re adding another segment to our Book of Mormon Foundation Series with our list of Racist Book of Mormon verses. It seemed only fitting to give this topic its own category for two reasons.

  1. Expose the truth about the false Jesus in the BoM.
  2. Expose the truth about its racist ideologies.

Racism has no place in the life of a true believer. While attitudes towards nonwhites have changed from the time I was a kid growing up in Utah Mormonism, LDS canon remains the same. Along those same lines, the Mormon people are far too accepting of this canon, and their leaders who use it to preach venomous lies.

James 2:19; “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

BoM foundation 1While updating some info on our sites, I came across a sad reminder of what the everyday life of a Mormon would be like. I was updating the section on plagiarisms found in the Book of Mormon and adding to the seemingly never-ending list of new ‘finds’.

The list of speculations on where Smith retrieved his info to produce the Book of Mormon, is as numerous as the day is long. From Spaulding to Shakespeare, and View of the Hebrews to events in early America, there’s plenty of fodder from which to choose. One thing is certain, we can pinpoint a key resource he chose to plagiarize, and that’s the Bible.

Atonement in the Book of Mormon

Isaiah 59:1-2; “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

BoM foundation 1 Think about this for a moment.

Where would you be today if Jesus hadn’t saved you?

Would you be just like you are right now? (We hope not!) Would you be divorced, married, estranged from loved ones?

How about your personal disposition? How much worse off would you be? Are people able to see a marked difference in you since that time?

Book of Mormon Plagiarism

If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times; I grew up loving my Book of Mormon. Being born and raised in an LDS family in Ogden, Utah came with the understanding you’d be learning all you could about Joseph Smith, Mormonism, and your Book of Mormon.

Grammar Problems and Questionable Teachings in the Book of Mormon Part 4

Grammar Problems

Today we’re on the final part of this section in our Foundation of the Book of Mormon Series!  Yay!

The issue we’re dealing with today is the Grammatical Problems we found in the Book of Mormon.  I’ve listed some examples from many of the books in the Book of Mormon to show my readers just how awful the contents are. Joseph Smith obviously had poor grammar. It’s also a well documented fact the printer refused to print the Book of Mormon if he wasn’t allowed to clean up some of the mistake Smith and company made while writing the Book of Mormon.

Grammar Problems and Questionable Teachings in the Book of Mormon Part 3

The Non-existent Archaeology from the Book of Mormon

(Things not invented yet and/or not in America during Book of Mormon timeframe)

This article is a nice companion to our series, but it also goes along well with our archaeological investigations that we’ve produced for the site. http://lifeafterministry.com/2011/01/15/book-of-mormon-artifacts-and-metallurgy/

This article is a list of all the verses from the claims of Joseph Smith about various tools, food items and animals in the Book of Mormon. We’ve included ore, iron, horses, chariots, flocks, etc. in the same order of our original article. You’ll also find additional references for words we didn’t include in the original article. This is a handy reference guide when witnessing to your Mormon friends and loved ones.

Grammar Problems and Questionable Teachings in the Book of Mormon Part 2

Noteworthy  Teachings

This time around in our section of Grammar Problems and Questionable Teachings we’re making it somewhat easy!   Here’s a list of teachings or events in the Book of Mormon that are totally outlandish, impossible or contradictory to other teachings within Mormonism.  I’m certain you’ll be wondering what Smith must have been thinking just as much as I have.

This list would be good to print out and just keep as a handy reference for when you’d like to ask your Mormon friend/loved one a quick question. I always like to ask them for their opinions about different things because in Mormonism you’re not allowed an opinion; remember as a Mormon you’re there to follow, not question.

Grammar Problems and Questionable Teachings In the Book of Mormon – Part 1

Welcome to the first of four parts in the Grammar section of our series “Foundation of the Book of Mormon” Series.

Several years ago I was visiting another Mormon ministry website, and read how one of the sentences in the Book of Mormon contained sixty plus words. Fast forward a few years, and while working on a project I came across a sentence reminding me of what I’d read years earlier.

They Fell to the Earth in the Book of Mormon

This is one in a series of several articles looking at various topics in the Book of Mormon. This article is focusing on the phrase “they fell to the earth”.  As I was gathering info on another topic I kept coming across this unusual phrase with different variations. Intrigued by its appearance, I decided to list it as a topic in our series so here we are!
