Kolob Time
July 13 — Kolob Time. Abraham 5:13 “But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the time that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die. Now I, Abraham, saw that it was after the Lord’s time, which was after the time of Kolob; for as yet the Gods had not appointed unto Adam his reckoning.” (more…)

Today we’re looking at part of what Dallin Oaks said at the April 2024 General Conference. This GC was about being temple worthy and it seems obvious that it has to do with all the temples they keep announcing.
Church News, ‘Covenants and Responsibilities’, April 2024 “…Covenants are inherent in each of the ordinances of salvation and exaltation this restored church administers…
Persons who have been endowed in a holy temple are responsible to wear a temple garment…It reminds endowed members of the sacred covenants they have made and the blessings they have been promised in the holy temple… (more…)

‘Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?’ 1 Corinthians 3:16
Talks at the latest General Conference were once again pretty much the same as they’ve always been. The exception was the announcements from the top three who spoke a lot on their health issues.
We’ll be looking at those in the upcoming days but today we’re looking at a speech given by the 1st Counselor of the Relief Society J. Annette Dennis. Ms. Dennis reminded everyone about the importance of wearing garments and how they show that someone truly loves Jesus Christ. For more info see article at Deseret News.
In part, here’s what she had to say – (more…)

Discourses of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 42 “Now what is this other Comforter? It is no more nor less than the Lord Jesus Christ himself; and this is the sum and substance of the whole matter; that when any man obtains this last Comforter, he will have the personage of Jesus Christ to attend him, or appear unto him from time to time, and even he will manifest the Father unto him, and they will take up their abode with him, and the visions of the heavens will be opened unto him, and the Lord will teach him face to face, and he may have a perfect knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God; and this is the state and place the ancient Saints arrived at when they had such glorious visions—Isaiah, Ezekiel, John upon the Isle of Patmos, Paul in the three heavens, and all the Saints who held communion with the general assembly and Church of the First Born. (HC 3:380-81.).” — Joseph Smith (more…)

We pray you stay safe this holiday season ~ and most importantly, remember to stay focused on our Lord, not the things around us.
2 Corinthians 10:5 ‘Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ’.
May you, and yours, be blessed this holiday as we thank our Lord for His provisions, and we thank you for your support! With Love in Christ – Life After Ministries

Ensign, ‘Ministering Through Self-Reliance,’ August 2020 ““Self-reliance is taking responsibility for our own spiritual and temporal welfare and for those whom Heavenly Father has entrusted to our care. Only when we are self-reliant can we truly emulate the Savior in serving and blessing others.

On Sunday November 12, 2023, LDS Apostle M. Russell Ballard passed away – he was 95 years old.
He was the great-great grandson of Hyrum Smith (Joseph Smith’s older brother).
I found a good explanation of how the Church picks the next apostle in the Salt Lake Trib. Be sure to check it out!
The Church’s system of how it works reminded me of what the disciples said to the Lord when they asked Him who is the greatest amongst themselves. See Luke 9:46-47, Luke 22:24-27, Matthew 18:1-4, and Mark 9:33-36. (more…)

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 14 “A Sleeping Christianity — I think that it is high time for a Christian world to awake out of sleep, and cry mightily to that God, day and night, whose anger we have justly incurred.
… trusting in that God who has said that these things are hid from the wise and prudent and revealed unto babes, I step forth into the field to tell you what the Lord is doing, and what you must do, to enjoy the smiles of your Savior in these last days.” (more…)

We pray you have a blessed day in the Lord today and throughout the year!
We also pray the Mormon people would know just how Great our God is and come to a saving knowledge of Christ Jesus and Him crucified.
In order to do that they first need to accept they can’t ransom themselves. It’s only through Christ alone.
