June 30 – Example of a false prophecy. 2 Peter 2:1 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”

General Conference, ‘Decisions for Eternity,’ October 2013 “…The aging process is also a gift from God, as is death. The eventual death of your mortal body is essential to God’s great plan of happiness.
When we master our appetites within the bounds of God’s laws, we can enjoy longer life, greater love, and consummate joy.
It is not surprising, then, that most temptations to stray from God’s plan of happiness come through the misuse of those essential, God-given appetites. Controlling our appetites is not always easy. … Sins are committed. …
We are “free to choose liberty and eternal life … or to choose captivity and death.” When we choose the loftier path toward liberty and eternal life, that path includes marriage. …
We know that Adam and Eve were married by God before they ever experienced the joy of uniting as husband and wife. …
In our day civil governments have a vested interest in protecting marriage …
Regardless of what civil legislation may be enacted, the doctrine of the Lord regarding marriage and morality cannot be changed. Remember: sin, even if legalized by man, is still sin in the eyes of God!…” — Russell Nelson (more…)

There are a number of reasons faithful members of the LDS Church should question Joseph Smith’s first vision. His so-called chance meeting with God, and Jesus in human form while praying in the ‘sacred grove’ raises many questions. Today we’re looking at a few of those.
By no means is this an exhaustive look at Mormonism. The topics listed simply come from questions/comments on our FB page, and LAM blogs.
In all sincerity, we pray Mormons will think about the following contradictions and reject what their church is doing…

TodayinMormonHistory.com “– 175 years ago today – Sep 15, 1843 — William Clayton writes in his journal: “President Joseph told me he had lately had a new item of law revealed to him in relation to myself. He said the Lord had revealed to him that a man could only take 2 of a family except by express revelation and as I had said I intended to take Lydia he made this known for my benefit. To have more than two in a family was apt to cause wrangles and trouble. He finally asked if I would not give L[ydia] to him. I said I would so far as I had anything to do in it. He requested me to talk to her.
Lydia Moon, who had just turned 17, was the younger sister of two of Clayton’s wives: legal wife Ruth Moon and his first plural wife Margaret Moon. Clayton had been courting Lydia to become his plural wife until Joseph Smith told him of the recently-revealed “new item of law.” Clayton talked to Lydia Moon about becoming Joseph’s plural wife but she never would agree to it. She later apostatized from the Church.” (more…)

Romans 1:24; “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves”.
God finally gave up on Pharaoh, just as He did with those in Paul’s day. We’re praying the Mormon people will take heed before it’s too late for them as well.
Today we’re looking at a sermon Brigham Young delivered where he claimed ‘father Adam’ married his daughter, Eve. We’ve inserted questions and observations throughout the text.
Journal of Discourses 16:167; “When Father Adam came to assist in organizing the earth out of the crude material that was found, an earth was made upon which the children of men could live. After the earth was prepared Father Adam came and stayed here, and there was a woman brought to him. Now I am telling you something that many of you know, it has been told to you, and the brethren and sisters should understand it.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
