September 15 – No Marriages in Heaven. Mark 12:23-25 “In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.”

We’re putting the latest stats together and they should be done by tomorrow, sorry for the delay! I’m not a math person, so I’m taking extra time to check my calculations via the math guy in my life – Kirk! 🙂
We received a few comments via the blog, site, and private e-mails from people in response to the Church’s stats we reported on yesterday. Be sure to check them out! The mess this church has left in its wake is startling. Please, continue to pray for those involved whether active, inactive, or otherwise.
The one thing we noticed in the talks they delivered is the absence of our dear Lord Jesus. Their talks were reminiscent a pep rally for business people, and didn’t focus on Jesus at all. Their scripture cited below is a good example.
Doctrine and Covenants 132:15-17; “Therefore, if a man marry him a wife in the world, and he marry her not by me nor by my word, and he covenant with her so long as he is in the world and she with him, their covenant and marriage are not of force when they are dead, and when they are out of the world; therefore, they are not bound by any law when they are out of the world. 16 Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in marriage; but are appointed angels in heaven, which angels are ministering servants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory. 17 For these angels did not abide my law; therefore, they cannot be enlarged, but remain separately and singly, without exaltation, in their saved condition, to all eternity; and from henceforth are not gods, but are angels of God forever and ever.”

Mormon Heritage vs. God
“The Strength of Our Heritage“, Liahona and Ensign, July 2012; “The prophets have warned us that the home is the place to save society. A proper home, of course, is not created automatically when a boy and girl fall in love and marry. It takes those same virtues that were taught in pioneer homes—faith, courage, discipline, and dedication—to make a marriage successful.” —L.
